Depends. Webcomic saitama would stand up and win against a worthy foe. Manga saitama would lose like a bitch as soon as an enemy of equal power faced him. The reason being that manga saitama doesn't know how to fight, as seen in his disdain of martial arts. His inability to fight would immediately cause him to lose as soon as the power levels were equal.

I don't understand the point of vs. threads unless you assume both participants are being written true to character. These are not real people or real universes, and they don't have consistent rules - that's the powerlevelfag's fallacy. The only way these threads are not shit is if you're having fun imagining a hypothetical crossover comic. Hence Bugs > Saitama > Superman, but Superman > Bugs > Saitama. Bugs can be on the run from an angry Superman and keep his character, but a comic where Superman punches Bugs Bunny and he explodes wouldn't be true to either character, it only makes sense in some Chrischan autistic all-fiction-is-real fantasy.

He wipes the floor with characters that could destroy cities with a gesture because it's amusing, conversely he can get scratched by a cat and can't kill a mosquito because it's amusing. OPM isn't meant to be watched for power scaling shit surrounding Saitama, he's just there to take the piss in a world full of cliches. I saw this nice theory about Superman literally having his own story as a superpower as some sort of in-canon plot armor thing
The whole limiter things as well as so far barely any limit to Saitamas power for me practically seems very similar
We could basically just see him next chapter pull off Super Serious moves and it would fit pretty well into the whole concept
And if you really want to go there, recent manga chapters had him oneshot a guy using a casual punch that later on was shown to be at least casual continental to planet surface level
We already know this guy will be vastly outclassed by the arcs final villain from the webcomic, who also has been beaten by Saitama relatively casually and whose power LITERALLY was adapting to the strength of his opponents, so there you go

The problem you run into is that at that point it's kind of a stupid argument. If there's a character who's inherent ability is "always wins" and then you put them in another scenario and say "No, that power doesn't work now." then there really isn't anything to debate...Not like there was a debate in the first place mind you. Putting gag characters into vs debates is just stupid. The whole point of a vs scenario is to assume both characters can act within their normal bounds/typical universal rules. If you toss a DBZ character into a fight with Guts for some asinine reason they don't lose the ability to fly/use ki because ki doesn't exist in the Berserk universe. The whole point is to try to reason out who may or may not come out on top. It'd be like bringing Atem into a vs thread about who could beat Lex Luthor in 5d chess or something equally stupid then saying his king of games hax doesn't work because...reasons...If a character has abilities then you factor them in.
The Quicksilver vs Flash is a good example. The easy answer is "No speed force lul" but that's not an interesting discussion. Who cares who wins? That's missing the entire point of it. It's not about wanking a character you like, it's about the thought experiment of mashing two or more things together and trying to go over the logic of it. The interesting part of a vs battle isn't the outcome, it's the discussion that leads up to the conclusion. Just saying "Copies powers, lul" is a boring conversation so what's the point here?

He's not covered in a magical aura or a lucky one, he's just a very strong guy no one in-universe can say why he's so strong. The best explanation anyone has given is just that he broke his limiter. But that's it. The whole point of Saitama is there being no con. Just a guy who did a moderate workout and got amazing powers. Kinda reminds of Flex Mentallo

No rule in universe states he's unbeatable, true. However, his strength is always dependent on the situation. Like an anon mentioned earlier he has the durability to be dropkicked to the moon but reacts more strongly to a cat scratching him. He also has the speed to move fast enough to create multiple past images of himself but is also too slow to catch a mosquito. In normal scenarios he's either the butt of a joke or "too strong". Boros even restates that bit, and considering Saitama has managed to punch his way out of a pocket dimension I'd say putting him in the same category as other cartoon characters like Popeye is fair.
Regardless though, even if we ignore all that and just say he's got X amount of power or whatever, the current discussion is pointless. Either he's essentially a toon and thus wins or Amazo can copy his abilities and thus wins. There isn't a lot to work with there for a discussion. It's just a "my favorite character wins" scenario and that's boring. The only interesting answer that I think works is the stalemate, followed by friendship and videogames where Amazo beats Saitama.

Apologies, it's been a bit since I read the webcomic. He punched his way into it, not out. A monster called Phoenix man had the ability to trap people in a pocket dimension and, while those inside can break out through force of will, Saitama broke into it by knocking. What he was knocking on god only knows but I think it's a fair assessment to say the logistics of knocking on a pocket dimension to get into it is prime cartoon material.

I doubt it. Besides, Amazo can copy abilities on sight, or at least the version in the OP can. That's why it's a boring discussion. Either Amazo can copy Saitama and win or Saitama slaps him into the pavement. There really isn't anything interesting there to discuss.

So who invented the rule of "If I take character outside his universe, their rule shouldn't work anymore"? For example, Popeye becomes stronger than X if he eats spinach. Why wouldn't that rule apply outside his own world?
Sonic's fate power is an explanation to his title "the fastest thing alive". Same toonforce as if Road Runner stood next to the Flash, he can't catch him because it's part of the joke.
OPM will never lose a fight. He has to win.
Yugi + Atem together will never lose a game, they have to win.
Vegeta will never kill a major villain. He has to job.
Their rules and abilities are carried into any universe. Toonforce doesn't care about opposing feats, it only gets stronger against serious opponents.

And yes, Yugi has lost before. And if Vegeta had the feats against a major villain, he would probably win a battle debate. Correction. It only fuels Popeye universe characters. He could eat spinach outside in anyone else's universe to get the same results. But if the opposing character shared that spinach, it wouldn't work on them.
>Archie Sonic's shit was more stated and didn't really work out in practice
His fate power was "he can't permanently lose". A Death Battle ends up with one character "permanently losing" by death. Same with "fastest thing alive" because this Sonic has the same toonforce shared from AOSTH Sonic. Realistically, the battle should've ended at a stalemate to the end of time because Flash would keep speed stealing an infinite speed source who can't permanently die even with time travel involved.
>Vegeta had the feats against a major villain, he would probably win a battle debate.
You're confusing feats with Word of God on his status quo and abilities. Death Battle shouldn't change a character's quo except removing their no kill rules. Vegeta is supposed to be a serious powerful jobber, that's his entire character.
>Saitama doesn't have even really have toon force.
Toons work by gags. It's the same concept. Also he has an all win rate and fights villains with bigger feats than him. He's no different than Popeye.

I think he usually carries some with him. Probably in his pants, also fastest thing alive, as in "automatically is faster than anybody he ever meets even if they usually are faster" is never stated. Literally nothing says that, I don't know where people get this idea that he will be automatically faster than anyone, it's more a title than anything. And that&/ the thing, it's how Death Battle works, myabe you job because it's what the story needs, but DB isn't about stories, it's who's winning a fight and if Vegeta has the feats, if he showed he was stronger or faster and his opponent didn't have enough advantages, he would win, no matter how many times he lost in DBZ, because that's their story and DB takes characters out of that. Winning every fight he has doesn't mean he wins every fight with anyone, Saitama's feats are measured by him being stronger, he's just a powerful guy, he's not a Toon. His situation is comedic sometimes but it doesn't give him Toon Force. Unless Saitama gets any better feats, he's gonna lose a lot of his matchups. Cope

I think it depends on the "level" of the gag character. Someone like Droopy can do whatever the fuck he wants with no explanation as long as it's funny. Saitama, on the other hand, doesn't really use "toonforce" of any sort. His over-the-top powers are a physical thing he can do and not the universe making sure he wins (although there is sort of a "reverse toonforce" surrounding him, where sometimes he gets hurt by trivial things for the sake of a joke).

Because over and over, Sonic wins to people who were clearly faster than him when they met.
Metal Sonic
Shadow
Emerl
Infinite
And an out of universe example. Quickman.
"Quick Man's top speed is revealed in the Megaman Megamix manga to move around four times the speed of light"
And Sonic still won against all of them without permanently losing aka dying. Sonic's top speed was near the speed of light before even meeting Quickman in the crossover. So the "fastest thing alive" rule activates when he's next to someone faster than him. Again, Quickman had bigger feats than Sonic, but to a toon character, feats mean absolute shit against his meta.

it's just nonsense. Amazo is outrageously overpowered, even for the DC universe.
He is in a continual state of evolution. If he is hit with something, he quickly adapts a defense. He can copy techniques he sees only once, including things like superstrength and green lantern powers.
He's literally one of the most OP characters ever created. The only way to beat him is to innovate something that he hasn't seen before and destroy him in a single blow. Unfortunately after a few short months touring the galaxy he becomes so powerful this is virtually impossible.

And for any DCfags that think otherwise: Perpetua herself, when she was close to full-power, destroyed a universe. That's it. That's her total displayed height. She then said she'd need to recharge a moment before destroying another.
And before you bring up "s-she's just giving them the Justice/Doom vote!", no. That is already past as is stated freely in both the end of the JL run and Death Metal. She's just destroying individual universes until she can only have one left. There's no vote being cast anymore. This is also the reason why there's nearly 20 undestroyed universes in Death Metal.
The idea that Perpeuu is strong or that she makes the DC universe "stronger" is a joke perpetuated (heh) by DCfags because to admit otherwise is to admit their favorite wanked verse has literally been getting it's are beat for months by sub-multiverse entities.

True that Saitama was holding back perhaps far more than he would against Boros. This is because he did say earlier in the fight that Garou was holding back on him and is disappointed that he got weaker from his transformations instead of getting stronger. So it is likely that for the sake of a fair fight, Saitama intentionally slowed down his own reaction time, yet still manages to avoid/parry all of Garou's attacks and counters with a normal two-punch combo.

No, your headcanon for why she does what she does isn't what's stated in the actual book. We are never shown "and then the multiverse was irreversibly fucked and Perpetua won forever and ever." Hell, the whole point of things is specifically that Perpetua HASN'T fully won yet due to taking so much time in destroying individual universes. BWL himself states that she's only destroying universes out of the 52.
Saying that "o-oh maybe Scott Snyder would say so..." is fanfiction that's not justified by anything in any of these books.

Not per Death Metal, which is the only time Perpetua has functionally endless dominance of the multiverse. Even before she had the vote, she simply blew up universes rather than anything else.

Wrong. Explicitly stated in Trinity Crisis that the Crisis Worlds are to fuel Perpetua with limitless Crisis Energy. BWL wants her to reformat the multiverse before he kills her, so he can then turn it into his predatory heaven that will eat other multiverses over time.

Incorrect. By the time she was blowing up universes directly, she'd already regained the majority of her power. It's why the Ultra-Monitor could even throw down with her until she got the last drop of Doom she needed.
>But BWL is stealing it for himself so he can use a multiverse as a shotgun.

Dream only cared because that one facet was Daniel and he didn't want his library burning down (and later just leaves which almost collapses the entire Dreaming). He was in no way truly inconvenienced by anything Barbatos did. None of the other Endless even seemed to be aware of the situation.

Alright, finished watching the podcast. Man, I guess we were right on the money about DC and Marvel heralds and cosmics getting more infinities. High level Marvel and DC are going to be tricky to find appropriate enemies for now, let alone opponents that could beat them. Liam is chomping at the bit to have Saitama fight and get destroyed, and I think I saw a light go on in his eyes when Luis mentioned Popeye vs Saitama. He was pushing for Krillin vs Saitama before, but I think he's going to change horses now.

You mean exactly what Saitama is known for? I mean, it's in the fucking name. One Punch Man. How much more obvious does it need to be?

>Droppy is at home relaxing.
>Saitama pops out of no where begging him to "fight" him again after realizing it's the first time someone is "more powerful" than him
>Roles are reverse with Droopy trying to get rid of Saitama

He can hold his breath for 100000000000000000000000 years, probably longer, which is the time when all matter ionizes and the universe reaches thermal equilibrium, leaving nothing but Saitama floating in an endless void. You can't say that's not a shown feat or not possible for Saitama because it's Saitama and you automatically lose unless you're, like, Shaggy or Bugs Bunny.

Wouldn't having Saitama in a fight defeat the purpose of him? He never tries and he doesn't lose. That's the whole joke. Unless they work with the joke which I don't think DB does since they are all about numbers and shit, Saitama can't really go against anyone that high

Except that's not what happened. Daniel didn't really give a shit at all beyond simply telling Batman and Supes what they needed to do. The fact that the entirety of the Dark Multiverse is just a single book in Dream's library is pretty telling how much it constitutes a threat to him: that is to say, not at all. And Daniel isn't the whole of Dream. He's just an aspect.
